The length of fabric I choose to paint varies according to what I intend to make with it. Usually I work with about 2 yards at a time. The fabric is stretched out horizontally on a wooden frame and colors are custom mixed for each painting. Sometimes I begin with a sketch, other times I’ll just start putting dye onto the fabric and see what evolves.
